Late Evening Car Accident on Las Tunas Drive in Arcadia Kills Driver and Injures Passengers

 
ARCADIA, CA (February 23, 2021) – A driver was killed late Sunday evening after a car accident on Las Tunas Drive in Arcadia.
 
According to the Arcadia Police Department, the accident happened around 11:30 p.m., February 21, just east of El Monte Avenue.
 
The car was heading east on Las Tunas Drive when it left the roadway and hit two power poles and a flood-control fence, police said.
 
As a result, the male driver of the car suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Two male passengers were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to the Police Department.
 
The coroner’s office will released the driver’s name once family members are notified.
 
Speed does appear to be a contributing factor in the accident but the cause is still under investigation.
