28-Year-Old Driver Dies in Big Rig Accident on Avenue 384 near Road 56 in Tulare County

 
TULARE COUNTY, CA (September 7, 2022) – A driver was killed in a big rig accident on Avenue 384 on Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on September 6 at about 12:42 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a westbound Toyota Tacoma entered the eastbound lane.
 
Then, the Tacoma collided with a fully loaded big rig near Road 56.
 
The impact of the crash caused the Tacoma to overturn. As per reports, empty pallets from the semi-truck were also scattered all over the lanes.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the 28-year-old Tacoma driver dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the big rig did not sustain injuries.
 
Responders temporarily closed affected lanes to make way for the pallet cleanup.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
