Collision with Semi-Truck on Fox Road in Merced County Kills Driver and Sends 2 Children to Hospital

 
MERCED COUNTY, CA (March 15, 2022) – A driver died and two children were injured in a semi-truck accident at Fox Road and Bellevue Road Monday morning.
 
The accident happened just after 7:00 a.m. on March 14. According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV went through a stop sign at the intersection and crossed in front of an oncoming semi truck. The two vehicles then collided.
 
As a result, the driver of the SUV died at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
There were two children in the SUV. Paramedics took one of them to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera and the other to another local hospital. Both are expected to live.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
