Driver Dies in Moreno Valley 2-Car Crash at Lasselle Street

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (July 30, 2021) — A driver died in a 2-car accident at Lasselle Street and Via Xavier on July 25.
 
According to the Sheriff’s Department, the fatal car crash happened around 3:25 p.m.
 
For unknown reasons, a black Kia Forte driver ran a red traffic light at the intersection and slammed into a red Toyota Matrix, whose driver tried to make a left turn. As a result, the driver of the Toyota suffered major injuries and was rushed to a hospital. However, recent reports have confirmed that the driver died two days after.
 
As for the driver and child passenger of the Kia, authorities confirmed that both sustained no injuries.
