Semi-Truck Overturns in Crash on Belmont Avenue in Sanger

 
SANGER, CA (March 20, 2021) – A driver suffered injuries in a semi-truck crash on Belmont Avenue on March 13.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the intersection of Trimmer Springs Road.
 
Based on a report, the semi was traveling west on Belmont at the time of the crash. At the same time, a Rav4 was heading east on Trimmer Springs. Due to unknown reasons, it tried to do an illegal U-turn on Belmont, causing the semi to clip it. Subsequently, the semi lost control and flip on its side.
 
As a result, the driver of the semi was hurt in the incident. Crews transported the victim to a local hospital with minor injuries. The Rav4 driver was not hurt in the crash.
 
CHP officers say drugs and alcohol were not a factor in this semi-truck crash on Belmont Avenue. However, they continue to investigate the case.
