Robert Jackson Arrested after Seriously Injuring Another Driver on 10 Freeway in Ontario

ONTARIO, CA (November 16, 2022) – 53-year-old Robert Michael Jackson of Fontana was arrested following a road rage incident on 10 Freeway, Friday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 11, at about 5:37 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, Jackson and an unnamed driver became agitated with each other.

Then, the drivers pulled over on the Etiwanda Avenue off-ramp and began arguing. A short time later, Jackson allegedly injured the other driver with an undisclosed weapon. As per reports, Jackson got back into his car and drove away from the scene.

Emergency crews transported the unnamed driver to a local hospital for treatment.

The next day, the CHP Inland Division’s Investigative Services Unit located Jackson. Authorities arrested the suspect on suspicion of attempted murder, battery with serious bodily injury, and assault with a deadly weapon — not firearm.

CHP continues to investigate the cause of the incident. Officers ask witnesses to call the CHP Rancho Cucamonga Area office at (909) 980-3994.

When driving, keep your cool and resist the urge to act on road frustrations. If you feel threatened by another driver, lock your car doors and immediately call 911.
