1 Hospitalized After Pickup Collides with Big Rig on Highway 74 in Meadowbrook

 
MEADOWBROOK, CA (November 1, 2024) — A driver suffered an injury after a pickup crashed and became trapped underneath a big rig on Highway 74 at Ethanac Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 10:20 a.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a pickup truck collided with the tractor-trailer, causing the pickup to become wedged underneath the rig’s trailer.
 
Subsequently, Riverside County Fire Department crews arrived within 15 minutes and found the pickup driver trapped in his car. Firefighters pried open the door to free him from the wreck.
 
Fortunately, the driver sustained a minor injury and received care at a regional trauma center for treatment. The truck driver was unharmed in the crash.
