Driver Hurt in Overturned Crash on Highway 101

 
MONTECITO, CA (November 16, 2021) — A driver suffered serious injuries in Monday’s overturned accident on Highway 101 near Sheffield Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car collision happened just before 1:30 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, three cars collided in the northbound freeway lanes. At least one of the cars overturned and came to a rest on its roof.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and extricated a seriously injured driver from the overturned vehicle, later transporting the victim to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Meanwhile, paramedics tended to two other people in the second car for minor injuries.
