Driver Hurt in Big Rig Crash on 5 Freeway

 
COALINGA, CA (October 14, 2021) — A driver sustained injuries in a big rig accident on the 5 Freeway near Highway 41 Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, one big rig collided with another at the 25th Avenue exit. As a result, one of the semi-trucks ruptured into flames.
 
Shortly after, paramedics arrived and airlifted a driver to a hospital with a broken leg. Meanwhile, the other driver did not suffer any injury.
