ESCONDIDO, CA (April 25, 2022) – A driver sustained injuries in a hit-and-run accident on 15 Freeway, late Thursday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on April 21 shortly before 11:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, an SUV slammed into the rear of a pickup truck near Via Rancho Parkway.
 
The impact of the collision caused the pickup truck to overturn.
 
Emergency crews transported the pickup truck driver to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
