Woman Injured after Fiery Truck Accident on 10 Freeway in West Covina

 
WEST COVINA, CA (April 11, 2022) – A woman sustained injuries following a box truck accident on 10 Freeway, early Wednesday morning.
 
According to the West Covina Police Department, the incident happened on April 6 at about 2:42 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a Dodge Charger slammed into the rear of a box truck.
 
The impact of the collision caused the Dodge Charger to burst into flames.
 
The West Covina Fire Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters rescued the Dodge driver from the burning vehicle. A short time later, the firefighters were able to put out the flames.
 
Emergency crews transported the Dodge driver to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
West Covina police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
