Driver Killed in Crash After Police Chase on 94th Street in Gardena
GARDENA, CA (April 14, 2023) — A driver died in a car crash on 94th Street and Harvard Boulevard following a police chase.
According to Gardena police officers, the fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. When a police officer saw a driver in a gray Dodge Charger blowing through red lights and speeding, the officer tried to pull over the individual. However, the driver did not comply, and a brief pursuit unfolded.
For unknown reasons, the officer’s car became disabled, and the Dodge Charger was able to escape. However, officers received a call later about the Dodge crashing into several parked vehicles.
The unidentified driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash, and one other person reported an injury.
