Fatal Angeles National Forest Crash on Big Tujunga Canyon Road

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 7, 2021) — A driver lost his life in a car crash on Big Tujunga Canyon Road on Tuesday in the Angeles National Forest.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at about 10:00 p.m. near Los Angeles County Fire Marker 2.92.
 
An initial investigation indicated that the male driver lost control of his vehicle while driving on Big Tujunga Canyon Road, north of Altadena. Subsequently, the car veered off the roadway and then tumbled down the mountainside. It came to rest about 185 feet down the mountainside.
 
The CHP said the driver died at the scene. They have not made the driver’s name public pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, it was unknown why the driver lost control of the vehicle. However, the authorities are conducting further investigation.
