Woman Hospitalized after Head-On Accident on Highway 137 near Road 168 in Tulare

 
TULARE, CA (April 6, 2022) – A driver sustained serious injuries following a head-on accident on Highway 137, early Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 5 at about 3:33 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a westbound silver Honda Civic drifted into the eastbound lane.
 
Then, the Honda collided with an eastbound BMW X5 near Road 168.
 
American Ambulance paramedics had to extricate the 30-year-old Honda driver from her vehicle. Then, she was transported to Kaweah Delta Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the 75-year-old BMW driver suffered minor injuries and did not need hospitalization.
 
Investigators ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash. CHP will release additional information once it becomes available.
