SANTA ANA, CA (April 28, 2021) – The police arrested a driver Saturday night following a pursuit DUI crash on Tustin Avenue in Santa Ana.
 
According to the Santa Ana police, officers began pursuing a white pickup truck from the Orange area due to an undisclosed vehicle code violation. During the chase, the pickup crashed into a van in the 2300 block of North Tustin Avenue at about 8:25 p.m.
 
At the time of the crash, the pickup was southbound on Tustin approaching Clara Avenue. The van was westbound on Santa Ana Avenue at Tustin Avenue on a green traffic signal.
 
Emergency responders took the occupants of the van to an area hospital due to major injuries. The police, meanwhile, arrested the driver of the pickup on suspicion of evading and felony drunk driving.
