Dorothy Desantis Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Jones Lane [Nipomo, CA]

71-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Jones Lane at Black Lake Canyon Road

 
NIPOMO, CA (February 27, 2022) – Dorothy M. Desantis died in a pedestrian accident in Nipomo on Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened 2:32 p.m. on February 25 in the area of Jones Lane and Black Lake Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was walking on Jones Lane when a vehicle traveling westbound on Black Lake Canyon Road struck her.
 
The impact thrown Desantis to the ground. She suffered major injuries, including a broken arm and a head trauma.
 
Responding paramedics rushed her to Marian Medical Center, where she died Saturday around 4:04 a.m. She was a 71-year-old Nipomo resident.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle, 70-year-old Darian Lee Hansen of Nipomo, was unhurt.
 
At this time, no arrests have been made. The crash remains under investigation.
