Donna Almendrala, Infant Hurt, Scott Gibbs Involved in Pedestrian Crash on Burnside Road near Bloomfield Road

 
SEBASTOPOL, CA (January 27, 2023) Donna Almendrala and her infant were injured in a pedestrian accident on Burnside Road near Bloomfield Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian crash happened around Thursday morning. For unknown reasons, 55-year-old Scott Gibbs struck 36-year-old Donna Almendrala with his vehicle as he was heading southbound on Burnside Road.
 
It appears the mirror of his vehicle struck the 36-year-old Sebastopol woman who was holding her baby in a sling while walking southbound. Both Almendrala and her infant reported minor to moderate injuries.
 
Authorities confirmed that Gibbs was not speeding in the 35-mph zone. In addition, no evidence points to alcohol and drugs playing as factors for both parties.
