Seth Strader and Donato Guzman Villegas Die in Oxnard Head-On Car Crash

 
OXNARD, CA (March 8, 2022) – Police identified the two people who died in a head-on accident in Oxnard on March 2.
 
The men were identified as 57-year-old Donato Guzman Villegas of Oxnard and 44-year-old Seth Strader of Ventura, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
The accident happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 300 block of North Harbor Boulevard, south of Gonzales Road.
 
Strader was driving a 2005 Subaru Impreza northbound when he lost control of his car. He then swerved right onto the dirt shoulder and veered left across both lanes into oncoming traffic.
 
The Subaru and a southbound Ford Explorer with four people inside – including passenger Guzman Villegas – collided head-on.
 
Guzman Villegas and Strader were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
The driver of the Ford, a 46-year-old Oxnard man, and the two surviving passengers, Oxnard men aged 31 and 44, suffered major injuries. Paramedics took them to Ventura County Medical Center and Los Robles Regional Medical Center for treatment.
 
It is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Anyone with information about the crash can call the Ventura-area CHP office at 805-662-2600.
