Diego Morales Dies in Crash on Highway 12 in Fairfield

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (April 28, 2021) – Police identified Diego Morales as the victim who died in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 12 on April 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Beck Avenue.
 
Based on a report, a Dodge 2500 pickup failed to stop while traveling west on the highway. Then, the truck hit a Chevrolet Camaro. Subsequently, the initial crash caused a six-vehicle pileup on the highway. The Camaro then hit two other vehicles. The truck also struck two other vehicles afterward.
 
As a result, Diego Morales died in the crash. The Solano County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office said he was the 24-year-old driver of the Camaro. The drivers of the other four vehicles sustained minor injuries. Brad Berman, 22, of Vacaville, was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center. Crews also took Michael Boyce, 67, of Suisun City, to NorthBay Medical Center. The others – Carlos Reyes, 42, of Suisun City, Ogbonnaya Onumah, 49, of Fairfield, and Michael Solis, 35, of Vallejo did not go to a hospital for treatment.
 
Officials believe drugs and/or alcohol are not a factor in the crash. As of now, an investigation is still ongoing.
