Pedestrian Dickie Baker Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver at Cedar Avenue and Home Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (February 2, 2021) – 53-year-old Dickie Baker of Fresno was identified by the coroner’s office as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run accident Thursday night, January 21.
 
The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. at Cedar Avenue and Home Avenue. According to Fresno police, Baker was jay-walking across Cedar Avenue when an unknown vehicle struck him. However, this report has not been confirmed.
 
Responding paramedics rushed Baker to a hospital, where he later died. In addition, the driver fled the crash scene and has not yet been identified.
 
Police are investigating the incident and seeking help locating the suspect. Witnesses are urged to contact authorities to help them solve the case.
