Destiny Fierros Runs Red Light, Kills Pedestrian in Oceanside

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (August 10, 2021) – Officers arrested Destiny Fierros following a fatal pedestrian accident on El Camino Real on August 6.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Camino Town at approximately 8:40 PM.
 
Based on reports, Fierros ran the red light while driving northbound on El Camino. Subsequently, she struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died in the incident. Officials only identified the victim as a 65-year-old man. The victim’s name was being withheld pending notification to his family.
 
Following the collision, Fierros remained on the scene and was cooperative with the police. Neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in this collision.
 
At this point, the Oceanside Police Department is conducting an investigation.
