Dennis Willis Airlifted after Motorcycle Accident on Highway 12 [Wallace, CA]

71-Year-Old Dennis Willis Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 12 in Wallace

 
WALLACE, CA (March 22, 2022) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following an accident on Highway 12, late Monday, March 14.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 11:45 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, 71-year-old Dennis Willis lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
 
Then, Willis drifted into the eastbound lane and collided with a Toyota 4Runner SUV near Sierra gas station. The impact of the collision ejected Willis from his motorcycle.
 
Another motorcyclist, identified as 59-year-old Thomas Touchstone, attempted to avoid the crash. However, Touchstone could not stop in time and later collided with Willis.
 
An air ambulance transported Willis to a Modesto hospital for treatment of major injuries.
 
Responders temporarily closed the highway for rescue and clearing operations. CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
