Bakersfield Car Accident on Comanche Drive, Driver Dayanara Felix Killed

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 11, 2021) – A woman was killed in a car accident on Comanche Drive in Bakersfield Sunday morning.
 
Police identified the victim as 24-year-old Dayanara Vicencio Felix of Arvin, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
 
The accident happened around 11:40 a.m. on October 3 near Edison Highway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Felix was driving a Mazda northbound on Comanche Drive when she failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Edison Highway.
 
Felix lost control and struck a Subaru that was heading south on Comanche Drive.
 
As a result, Felix sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The male driver of the Subaru and a 9-year-old had minor to moderate injuries. However, CHP officials are still looking further into the accident to determine the factors involved.
