Bicyclist David Dee Wood Jr. Dies after Accident on Allen Road in Rosedale

 
ROSEDALE, CA (October 18, 2022) – Authorities identified 29-year-old David Dee Wood Jr. of Bakersfield as the bicyclist killed in an accident on Allen Road on Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on October 15, at about 6:00 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle collided with a bicyclist near Jomani Drive.
 
Emergency crews pronounced Wood dead at the scene. As per reports, an autopsy will be conducted to confirm the cause of death.
 
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office did not release any details about the vehicle or driver involved in the crash.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
