David Whitehead Involved in Police Chase Crash on Ridge Road at Sequoia Lane in Carlsbad

 
VISTA, CA (February 18, 2022) – Police arrested David Whitehead following a DUI crash on Jefferson Street on February 15.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Sequoia Lane around 2:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, the suspect refused to yield for a traffic stop at an intersection. Then, a brief high-speed pursuit happened. Subsequently, the chase ended when the vehicle got into a solo rollover crash.
 
As a result, the suspect suffered minor injuries in the incident. Officials identified him as David Joseph Whitehead, 21.
 
Personnel with the Carlsbad Police Department, the California Highway Patrol, and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department were part of the chase.
 
In the end, officers arrested Whitehead for DUI. At this point, an investigation is still ongoing.
