66-Year-Old David Valverde Dies in Modesto Pedestrian Accident on Scenic Drive

 
MODESTO, CA (November 2, 2022) – Authorities identified 66-year-old David Valverde of Modesto as the man killed in a pedestrian accident on Scenic Drive on Friday evening.
 
According to the Modesto Police Department, the incident happened on October 28 shortly before 10:00 p.m. A westbound motorcycle was reportedly racing a white BMW.
 
A short time later, the rider took evasion action to avoid hitting slowed vehicles. However, he struck a curb and hit Valverde near Bodem Street.
 
The impact of the collision ejected the rider from the motorcycle.
 
Emergency crews pronounced Valverde dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, emergency crews transported the rider to a hospital for treatment of significant injuries. Authorities did not release the name of the motorcyclist.
 
As per reports, the driver of the BMW remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Modesto police continue to investigate the accident. Officers ask anyone with additional information to call Officer Kyle Johnson at (209) 342-9178.
