David Sanchez Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Lowry Road [Fremont, CA]

David Sanchez Lying in Fremont Road Fatally Struck by Car

 
FREMONT, CA (April 21, 2021) – David Sanchez was killed in a pedestrian accident in Fremont Monday evening, April 19.
 
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. on Lowry Road at Falcon Drive, in a neighborhood west of 880 Freeway. According to Fremont police, the 49-year-old victim was seen lying in the roadway.
 
A witness approached when a compact car drove over Sanchez. The driver of the car drove away without rendering aid.
 
Emergency crews arrived soon after, but Sanchez died before be could be taken to a hospital. Sanchez was a local transient.
 
It is still unknown why the victim was lying in the roadway.
 
Police are reviewing dashcam video from another vehicle and are trying to find additional surveillance cameras in the area that may have recorded it. They are looking for witnesses, and urged anyone with information to contact Officer Mike Ramsey at 510-790-6776.
