60-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle at Elsie Avenue and Stockton Boulevard
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 15, 2021) – Danny Zgombic died in a pedestrian accident Tuesday evening.
The accident happened around 9:25 p.m. on August 10, at the intersection of Elsie Avenue and Stockton Boulevard. According to the CHP, the 60-year-old man was walking in the area when a vehicle traveling east on Elsie Avenue struck him.
First responders found Zgombic unconscious on the ground. They attempted saving him, but he died at the scene, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
Initial reports did not indicate if the driver of the involved vehicle was there at the scene when officers arrived.
The circumstances of this fatal crash remain still under investigation.
