South Gate Car Accident Kills Young Cudahy Father Daniel Guerrero

 
SOUTH GATE, CA (May 19, 2021) – Police identified the young father who died in a fiery car crash Sunday evening in South Gate.
 
23-year-old Daniel Guerrero left his Cudahy home Sunday evening to go buy diapers for his 5-month-old daughter Alyssa, according to Guerrero’s fiancee Guadalupe Avina.
 
Around 7:45 p.m., Guerrero was involved in a crash on Firestone Boulevard just east of Alameda Street. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, officials believe a Dodge Charger and BMW were possibly racing when one of them lost control and smashed into Guerrero’s car. The impact caused it to burst into flames.
 
The drivers of the two vehicles that collided, both the sole occupants, died at the scene. Police only identified Guerrero at this time.
 
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help raise money for Guerrero’s funeral.
