26-Year-Old Woman Dies in Palm Springs Crash on North Gene Autry Trail

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (May 20, 2021) – Dalia Valle was killed in a car accident in Palm Springs Saturday night, May 15.
 
The accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on North Gene Autry Trail about a quarter-mile south of Salvia Road near 10 Freeway. Emergency crews responded to the scene and found Valle with severe injuries.
 
Despite life-saving measures, the 26-year-old Cathedral City woman died at the scene, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
 
Police closed North Gene Autry Trail between Via Escuela and Salvia Road while the crash was being investigated.
 
Further details about the crash including the number of involved vehicles were not immediately available.
 
Loved ones set up a GoFundMe page for the victim’s funeral expenses. As of Monday morning, the page had raised just over $400.
