Speeding Sedan Overturns on County Road 39 in Glenn County Injuring Driver and Passenger
GLENN COUNTY, CA (April 27, 2023) – Dajahnai Capell and Karissa Suggs were injured in a rollover accident in Glenn County early Tuesday morning on April 25.
The accident around 12:20 a.m. on County Road 39, just east of County Road S. Officers said Capell, a 21-year-old Redding resident, was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry at a high rate of speed. She failed to negotiate a curve and veered off the roadway. The Camry then overturned several times.
Suggs, a 19-year-old, was in the passenger seat of the sedan.
Capell was airlifted to Enloe Medical Center, while Suggs was taken by an ambulance. Both suffered moderate injuries.
Officers said Capell was not wearing a seat belt and was later arrested.
Drugs or alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
