Cynthia Wright Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Orangevale

 
ORANGEVALE, CA (August 9, 2022)Cynthia Wright was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Orangevale early Saturday morning, August 6.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:03 p.m. on Greenback Lane, just west of Walnut Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Greenback Lane when it struck Wright who was walking northbound outside of the crosswalk.
 
After the crash, the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Wright, a 56-year-old Citrus Heights resident, died at the scene.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large and authorities do not have description of the vehicle.
 
An investigation into this fatality is underway.
