Corina Aguilar Dies, Enrique Torres, Rosa Cabrera Involved in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 184 near Hickory Lane

 
LAMONT, CA (June 23, 2022) — Corina Aguilar died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 184 near Hickory Lane on Monday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 10:01 p.m. For unknown reasons, 49-year-old Aguilar began crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk when an oncoming vehicle traveling about 55 miles per hour struck her.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, Aguilar suffered major injuries and died later at the scene.
 
Shortly after, investigators and paramedics responded and interviewed Enrique Torres — the driver — and his passenger Rosa Cabrera, both of whom had been wearing their seatbelts.
 
At this time, police have not identified the leading cause of the accident. However, if anyone has more information, please call the CHP.
