Clinton Tutthill, Another Killed in Head-On Accident on 26 Mile Road [Oakdale, CA]

Head-On Crash at 26 Mile and Eastman Roads Kills Two Drivers

 
OAKDALE, CA (July 31, 2022) – Clinton T. Tutthill was among two people who died in a head-on accident near Woodward Reservoir north of Oakdale on Friday afternoon.
 
The fatal crash happened around 3:45 p.m. on July 29, at 26 Mile Road and Eastman Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling northbound on 26 Mile Road. At the same time, a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV was traveling southbound.
 
For unknown reasons, the Tahoe crossed over the painted double-yellow lines and collided head-on with the pickup.
 
Responding emergency personnel performed life-saving measures, but both drivers died at the scene.
 
Tutthill, a 45-year-old Murphys resident, was the driver of the pickup truck. The driver of the SUV was only identified as a 50-year-old Oakdale man.
 
It is unknown at this time if drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
