Authorities Identify Christopher Younkers as Man Killed in Ultralight Aircraft Crash near Santa Paula

 
SANTA PAULA, CA (July 26, 2021) – Christopher Younkers died in an aircraft crash Friday evening near Santa Paula.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:00 p.m. on June 23, near the 6000 block of Wheeler Canyon Road. The road cuts from Foothill Road through rural hillside terrain west of Santa Paula.
 
According to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office, Younkers died of multiple blunt-force injuries caused when his ultralight aircraft crashed for unknown reasons. He was a 58-year-old Ventura resident.
 
No additional information about the crash was immediately available. An investigation is underway.
