Two-Vehicle Crash in Moreno Valley Kills One and Injures Five

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (June 16, 2021) – Christopher Chairez
died in a two-vehicle accident in Moreno Valley.
 
The accident happened around 7:52 p.m. at the intersection of John F Kennedy Drive and Lasselle Street. CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred.
 
Responding fire crews of the Riverside County Fire Department found two vehicles at the scene with major damage. They also confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
Five other people suffered injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Two of the patients were in critical condition, two had moderate injuries and another one had minor injuries.
 
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased victim as a 22-year-old Moreno Valley resident.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor the crash. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is overseeing the investigation.
