Christian Valencia Arrested in Fatal DUI Accident on White Lane [Bakersfield, CA]

Police Arrest Christian Valencia for DUI after Fatal Crash at White and Hughes Lanes

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 16, 2022) – Police arrested Christian Valencia for DUI after a fatal crash in Bakersfield early Friday morning on May 13.
 
Around 12:26 a.m., BPD officers saw a BMW traveling recklessly in the area of South H Street and Planz Road. The car then collided with a Toyota Camry at the intersection of White Lane and Hughes Lane.
 
As a result of the crash, the man driving the Camry suffered major injuries. Responding paramedics tried saving him, but the victim died at the scene.
 
Valencia, a 25-year-old Arvin resident, was the driver of the BMW. He sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
 
Police later arrested Valencia on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
