CHP Motorcycle Involved in Crash on Ashlan Avenue in Clovis

 
CLOVIS, CA (May 7, 2021) – Paramedics sent a CHP Officer to the hospital after a motorcycle crash on Ashlan Avenue on May 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at McCall Avenue just before 5:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the officer was traveling on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the victim struck a tractor with a spray rig from behind. Subsequently, the officer and his motorcycle ended up in the orchard on the north side of the road.
 
As a result, the victim sustained injuries in the incident. Crews transported him to Community Regional Medical Center for surgery. The tractor driver was not hurt in the incident.
 
After the crash, officers blocked off part of Ashlan Avenue between McCall and Del Rey for several hours.
 
At this point, this motorcycle crash on Ashlan Avenue is still under investigation.
