Juvenile Suffers Major Injuries in Pedestrian Accident on West North Avenue in Lompoc

 
LOMPOC, CA (July 20, 2021) – A child sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on West North Avenue in Lompoc Sunday evening.
 
At approximately 8:45 p.m., personnel from the Lompoc fire and police departments were dispatched to the incident in the 300 block of West North Avenue.
 
When the personnel arrived, they found the juvenile suffering from major injuries after being struck by a vehicle. Paramedics immediately provided medical aid to the victim.
 
After the evaluation, a Calstart helicopter landed at Lompoc Airport and airlifted the patient to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
 
At this time, it is unknown if the involved driver has stayed or fled after the crash.
 
Investigators continue to work on the crash to determine the exact cause and factors involved.
