Boy Dies in Late Afternoon Pedestrian Accident on Camden Avenue in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (July 14, 2021) – A child died in a pedestrian accident on Camden Avenue in San Jose late Friday afternoon, July 9.
 
The accident happened just after 5:00 p.m. near Kooser Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the boy was crossing the busy Camden Avenue against the light when a southbound SUV struck him. The boy was in the crosswalk when he was hit.
 
Arriving paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital, where he later died.
 
The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office will release the boy’s identity after it is confirmed and his next of kin are notified.
 
The SUV had a green light and neither alcohol nor drugs is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
