Juvenile Dies after Struck by 18-Year-Old Driver Isabella Helmericks on Kimball Road in Red Bluff

 
RED BLUFF, CA (April 1, 2022) – A child died in a pedestrian accident on Kimball Road in Red Bluff on Wednesday evening.
 
The accident happened on March 30 in the 1000 block of Kimball Road. According to the Red Bluff Police Department, 18-year-old Isabella Helmericks of Red Bluff was driving a passenger vehicle when she struck the juvenile.
 
The victim suffered major injuries from the impact. Responding paramedics rushed him to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where the child was declared dead.
 
The name and age of the child were not immediately available pending notification of next of kin.
 
Police determined neither drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
 
The fatality is still under investigation. Authorities asked anyone with information to contact the RBPD.
