Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Bicycle Accident on Monterey Street in Kern County

 
KERN COUNTY, CA (August 17, 2021) – A child suffered injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Monterey Street on August 13.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Fairfax Road at approximately 1:00 PM.
 
Based on reports, the 10-year-old child was riding a bicycle at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, an unidentified vehicle struck the victim. Then, the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
 
As a result, the child suffered injuries to their foot. However, the severity of the injury is unknown at this time.
