Car Falls Down Hill in Fatal Accident on 15 Freeway in Vista

 
VISTA, CA (July 15, 2021) – Police confirmed that a child and a dog died in a car accident on northbound 15 Freeway on July 13.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Gopher Canyon Road around 2:25 PM.
 
Based on reports, a vehicle was traveling on the highway when it swerved in the lanes. Subsequently, it tumbled down and ended up at least 150 feet down the hillside. The driver, a woman in her 30s, was with a dog and three children under age 6.
 
As a result, the oldest child and the dog died in the crash. The woman and the other two children suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment. Officials did not yet release the victims’ identities.
 
At this point, this car accident on 15 Freeway is still under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
