2-Year-Old Girl Injured in Pedestrian Accident on 15th Street near G Street in Modesto

 
MODESTO, CA (July 6, 2022) – A 2-year-old girl sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on 15th Street on Monday morning.
 
According to the Modesto Police Department, the incident happened on July 4 at about 11:20 a.m. The driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck reportedly waited for a group of pedestrians to cross before attempting to exit the driveway.
 
Then, the pickup truck entered the road and hit a wagon carrying the 2-year-old victim near G Street.
 
A medi-flight transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Officers found the driver at fault for failing to yield before entering the road. However, it is unknown whether the driver was cited.
 
Modesto police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
