Chi Leung Killed in Oakland Pedestrian Accident on Alice Street near 8th Street

 
OAKLAND, CA (April 4, 2022) — Chi Ho Leung died days after a pedestrian accident on Alice Street near 8th Street on March 18.
 
According to Oakland Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 6:30 p.m.
 
For unknown reasons, a driver in a van reportedly struck 66-year-old Leung in the 800 block of Alice Street in Oakland’s Chinatown. Per witnesses, the driver appeared to have done it deliberately.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and rushed Leung, described as a transient, to a hospital where he died on March 26.
 
At this time, Oakland police officers have no information on the cause. However, they believe this incident started as a disagreement between two parties. If anyone has additional details surrounding this deadly incident, please contact Oakland Police.
