Rider Dies after Crashing into Parked Car on Norton Avenue in Chino, Passenger Hospitalized

 
CHINO, CA (September 2, 2021)Charles James MacDougall died in a motorcycle accident Monday evening in Chino.
 
The accident happened just before 7:42 p.m. on August 30, in the 12600 block of Norton Avenue south of Walnut Avenue. Police said the 82-year-old Chino man rode his motorcycle with a passenger when he struck a car that was parked in front of a house.
 
Both MacDougall and his passenger were ejected off the bike after the crash.
 
Chino Valley Fire District paramedics arrived soon after and rendered aid to both patients.
 
MacDougall did not survive and died at the scene, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office.
 
Paramedics transported the other rider to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for treatment.
 
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
