Authorities Identify Cesar Zarco as Man Killed in Head-On Accident in Fresno County

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (March 24, 2021) – Authorities have identified the man who died in a head-on accident early Monday morning in Fresno County as 24-year-old Cesar Figueroa Zarco.
 
The accident happened shortly after midnight at Academy Avenue and Adams Avenue, just outside Parlia.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, Zarco was driving his Honda when he veered into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons. He then collided head-on into a Toyota.
 
Zarco suffered severe injuries from the impact and died at the scene.
 
The man driving the Toyota was flown to a nearby hospital in critical condition. His female passenger also suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
 
Authorities are still trying to determine the ultimate cause of the crash and factors involved.
