Motorcyclist Cesar Tadeo-Preciado Dies after Struck by DUI Driver in Moreno Valley

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (July 4, 2022)Cesar Tadeo-Preciado died in a DUI motorcycle accident in Moreno Valley on Friday afternoon, July 1.
 
The accident happened just before 4:10 p.m. on Heacock Street near Ironwood Avenue. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said Tadeo-Preciado was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Heacock and was making a left turn onto Ironwood.
 
At the same time, 34-year-old Jason Miller of Moreno Valley resident was driving an Infiniti Q50 sedan eastbound on Ironwood. He ran a red light and struck Tadeo-Preciado.
 
Deputies arrived to find Tadeo-Preciado unresponsive in the roadway. He died at the scene. He was a 50-year-old Moreno Valley resident.
 
Deputies also found an Infiniti Q50 sedan about a block east, with major front-end damage, but the driver had fled the scene. They later arrested Miller at his home on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, DUI causing death and felony hit-and-run.
 
They also arrested 30-year-old Nicole Cox of Moreno Valley on suspicion of helping Miller flee the scene.
 
Miller remained in jail on $75,000 bail. Cox was released Saturday morning after posting $75,000 bail.
