HALF MOON BAY, CA (March 22, 2022) — One of the three victims who suffered a range of injuries after a head-on crash with a cement truck has died.

The California Highway Patrol identified the woman as 76-year-old Catherine Lee Treulich of Half Moon Bay.

According to CHP, the two-vehicle collision on Highway 1 south of Capistrano Road happened around 1:10 p.m. on Monday, March 14. Treulich was driving her 2010 Ford Flex northbound at 50 to 60 mph when she entered the opposing lane and crashed head-on into a 2016 Peterbilt truck.

Shortly after, paramedics requested a helicopter to airlift Treulich and her 17-year-old passenger to Stanford University Medical Center. Treulich died at the hospital from her injuries the next day.
