Rider Dies after Crashing into Tractor near Road Construction Zone in Fresno County

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (March 15, 2022) – Carson Enns was killed in a motorcycle accident in a construction zone in Fresno County, early Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:20 a.m. on March 14. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 39-year-old victim was traveling on Copper Avenue toward Peach Avenue.
 
Investigators said the intersection is currently closed due to road work in the area, and the road has several construction signs leading up to it.
 
For unknown reasons, Enns kept going toward the intersection and suddenly tried to brake to avoid hitting a tractor.
 
The motorcycle then slid from the impact and overturned, hitting a construction sign and colliding with the tractor.
 
Enns was thrown from his bike and died at the scene, officials said.
 
At this time, it is unclear if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
